Xof1 - A Car Powered Entirely by Solar Energy and Can Achieve Top Speed of 75 mph
This 470-pound, three-foot-tall vehicle, is powered entirely by solar energy and is equipped with 893 solar cells and 26 lithium ion batteries. It can achieve a top speed of 121 kmph and travel 483 km on sunny days.
The body is polystyrene and Fiberglas, covered with 893 solar cells, which generate 900 watts of power. When the four lithium ion batteries run down, the solar car is parked and its top angled to the sun to let the batteries recharge. It's never plugged in.
